Meet Michael Bluemling, Jr.

Michael Bluemling, Jr. is a former decorated Sergeant in the US Army, veteran of the Kosovo campaign, author of Turning the Page: Overcoming Abuse to Reach Life’s Fulfillment, Our Journey: Heart to Heart with God, and Bridging the Gap from Soldier to Civilian: A Road Map to Success. He is also a motivational speaker. He is the founder of Power of One, LLC, a disabled-veteran-owned company based in Richmond, Virginia. The company’s mission is to successfully assist veterans in their transitioning from military service to civilian life.

Not only does Michael hold a Bachelor of Science in business administration from ECPI University, he also has a master’s degree in professional studies in human resources and employment relations from Pennsylvania State University and a graduate certificate from UMass Dartmouth in Organizational Leadership. He also graduated from the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV) program offered by Florida State University. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Michael has held various positions in the U.S. Department of Labor and at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Coming from a challenging background, Michael has successfully used his knowledge and skills to transition as a war-time veteran into a productive and fulfilling civilian life. As a survivor of childhood abuse, he understands the emotional, spiritual and physical challenges individuals must overcome. The trauma of his past has led Michael to promote his message that each person has the power to conquer adversity and lead a fulfilling life by offering his keen insights and providing the necessary tools to help veterans and abused individuals to survive and thrive.
